The Queen's Party

Just this weekend, we threw a beautiful party for a very special person in our lives. The menu included smoked salmon and croissants with a poblano ailoi, chocolate chip eggnog waffles with individual maple syrup boats, an overnight egg casserole, assorted grilled sausages with onion and peppers, zucchini bread, and a mixed fruit salad. Her royal day was full of crowns, bubbly, and lots of pink!

Fiesta

For the fun-filled Cinco de Mayo celebration at Live Oak Elementary in Castaic, Ca, we made a delicious and colorful taco salad paired with chips and jalapeno nacho cheese.

Paris Party

We planned a Paris birthday party for a little girl who is near and dear to our hearts a few weeks ago in Thousand Oaks, Ca. Between the handmade flower and feather headbands, painted portrait canvas', and the ooh la la candy bar, the girls had a blast. They enjoyed individual mac and cheeses, french fries, little pigs in a blanket, cheese croissants, and carrots in ranch dressing. For dessert, they got mini ice cream cones and chocolate cupcakes. Belcaro's Anniversary Party

We just recently did a event for the Belcaro housing development in Valencia, Ca.

The event consisted of three different stations: an Italian Station; including pasta salads, mini meatball subs, brushetta, and sausage and peppers, a SouthWest Station; consisting of pork and chicken tacos, nachos, and a salsa bar, and a U.S.A. station; full of mini hot dogs, mini sliders, potato salad, and lime coleslaw. We had a blast doing it all.

Game Night

We did a fabulous Game Night cocktail party for a couple moving to Las Vegas. We wish them all the luck in their new city!

Red Carpet Academy Awards Party

We had a night full of glitz, glamor, and fun at the Academy Awards Party in Castaic, Ca. The menu included a white tuscan bean soup with rosemary croutons, a scallop in pesto sauce, and mini sliders with sweet potato fries and chipolte ketchup. Thanks for a fabulous time ladies!

Tea Party

For a local Chatsworth, Ca birthday tea party, we made individual caprese tea sandwiches, salmon and chive tea sandwiches, a 4 cheese quiche, and three other salads including a melon, mint, and prosciutto salad. We also baked a dessert bar full of sugar cookies, apricot almond bars, and blueberry biscotti. The day was absolutely fabulous!

Chocolate-Cherry Cola Cupcakes
makes 24 cupcakes

• 1 jar (10 oz) maraschino cherries, drained, 1/4 cup liquid reserved
• 1 box Betty Crocker ® SuperMoist ® devil's food cake mix
• 1 cup cherry cola carbonated beverage
• 1/2 cup vegetable oil
• 3 eggs
• 1 container (12 oz) Betty Crocker ® whipped vanilla frosting
• 1 cup marshmallow creme
• 24 maraschino cherries with stems to top, well drained, if desired (we used cinnamon lips instead)

instructions:

1. Heat oven to 350ºF (325ºF for dark or nonstick pan). Add paper liners to cupcake pan. Chop cherries; set aside.

2. In large bowl, beat cake mix, cola beverage, oil, eggs, and 1/4 cup cherry liquid with electic mixer on low speed 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed 2 minuets. Stir in chopped cherries. Pour in pan.

3. Bake 22 - 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour.

4. In small bowl, mix frosting and marshmallow creme until smooth. Frost cake. Top each cupcake with cherries.

Holiday Gingerbread Decorating Party

All of the little kids of our family came together and spent some time on christmas night decorating these little gingerbread men. The Williams-Sanoma® gingerbread men pan has become one my favorite gifts of the year.
